Simmtronics semiconductors has come up with a portable usb-powered microdrive in capacities of 5 gb, 6 gb and 8 gb. The 5x6.9cm drive, with a thickness of 1.3 cm, can be carried like a ragular usb flash memory drive. Data in the drive is recoverable in the case of corruption or deletion. The usb 2.0 interface allows for high-speed data transfer [10 mb/s]. The 5gb microdrive is priced at rs 5200,6gb at rs 6200 and 8gb at rs 7500.
